Flowstem terms of service

These terms govern your access to and use of the Flowstem browser extension, account service, website, and related services. By creating an account, starting a subscription, or using Flowstem, you agree to these terms. If you use Flowstem for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

Flowstem is currently an independently operated software product based in Japan. In these terms, "Flowstem," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Flowstem and its individual operator.

Using Flowstem

Flowstem is a local-first browser automation builder. It lets you create and run workflows against browser tabs, extract and transform data, connect supported third-party services, and use AI providers that you configure. You must be legally able to enter into these terms to use Flowstem.

Flowstem grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable right to use the product for your own lawful personal or business purposes in accordance with these terms. Flowstem and its software, branding, designs, documentation, and related materials remain the property of Flowstem and its licensors.

Accounts and access

Some Flowstem features require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and keeping your account secure. You are also responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly notify us of unauthorized access.

Flowstem currently permits one connected extension browser and one workflow run at a time. New workflow runs require internet access and successful authorization from the Flowstem account service. A temporary service interruption may prevent a new run from starting, even though workflow content remains stored locally.

Plans and product limits

Flowstem offers Free and Desktop plans with different features and limits. The capabilities available to you are those shown in the product or account portal. Current limits may include maximum workflow run times, access to Sub-Workflow commands, active-device limits, and concurrent-run limits.

Available subscription options, prices, currencies, billing intervals, and applicable taxes are displayed before purchase. Stripe may present prices in a supported local currency. The information displayed at checkout governs the subscription you select.

Paid subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are sold through Stripe Managed Payments. Link acts as the merchant of record for the transaction and handles payment processing, transaction receipts and invoices, supported indirect-tax collection and remittance, payment disputes, and transaction-level support. Flowstem remains responsible for product-level support. Your payment is also subject to the payment terms presented by Link or Stripe at checkout.

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. By starting a subscription, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method, that your billing information is accurate, and that Link may charge the subscription fees and applicable taxes shown at checkout. Your subscription automatically renews at the selected interval until it is cancelled.

You can manage your payment method and cancel through the billing portal linked from your Flowstem account. Unless an immediate cancellation or refund is processed, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and Desktop access continues until that date.

Refund requests and payment disputes are handled under the terms shown at checkout and the applicable Link or Stripe policies. Link or Stripe may issue a refund in circumstances permitted by those policies. This does not limit refund or cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a payment fails, is reversed, or the subscription otherwise becomes inactive, Flowstem may suspend Desktop features or return the account to the Free plan.

We may change future subscription prices or plan features. A price change will take effect no earlier than the next billing cycle after reasonable advance notice, giving you an opportunity to cancel before the change applies. Taxes and currency-conversion amounts may vary by location and are shown by Stripe at checkout.

Your workflows and data

You retain your rights in the workflows, prompts, variables, files, and other content you create or use with Flowstem. You are responsible for that content, the instructions your workflows perform, the data they access or produce, and every destination to which they send data.

Workflow libraries are stored locally in the current Chrome profile and are associated locally with the connected Flowstem account. Signing out or disconnecting a device does not transfer local workflows to another device. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and protecting access to your device, Chrome profile, exports, and locally stored provider keys.

Acceptable use

You may use Flowstem only for lawful activities that you are authorized to perform. You must not use Flowstem to:

• access accounts, systems, websites, or data without permission;
• violate applicable law, contractual obligations, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or the rules of a third-party service;
• collect, monitor, disclose, or sell personal or sensitive information without a valid legal basis and any required consent;
• distribute malware, steal credentials, send unlawful spam, facilitate fraud, or interfere with the security or operation of any service;
• bypass access controls, rate limits, anti-abuse protections, or other technical restrictions;
• misrepresent automated activity as human activity where doing so would be deceptive or unlawful;
• bypass plan, licensing, account, session, or feature restrictions applied by Flowstem; or
• copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, decompile, or reverse engineer Flowstem except where applicable law expressly permits it.

You are responsible for determining whether a website or service permits your intended automation and for configuring workflows at a frequency and scale that do not disrupt that service.

Your responsibility for workflow activity

Flowstem is a general-purpose tool. Flowstem does not choose, initiate, direct, monitor, approve, or control the workflows you create or the websites, accounts, data, and services with which they interact. You are solely responsible for configuring, running, reviewing, and stopping your workflows and for the acts, omissions, and results arising from your use of Flowstem.

This responsibility includes determining whether your use is lawful and authorized, obtaining required permissions and consents, respecting third-party terms and technical restrictions, verifying collected or generated data, and addressing any claim caused by your workflow. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flowstem and its operator are not responsible for user conduct or for claims, investigations, penalties, losses, or damage resulting from a user's unlawful, unauthorized, deceptive, or harmful use of Flowstem.

Claims arising from your use

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse Flowstem and its operator for reasonable losses, liabilities, damages, and costs resulting from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful use of Flowstem, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by Flowstem's or its operator's own intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where applicable law does not permit this allocation of responsibility.

AI providers and generated output

Flowstem can send prompts and workflow data directly to OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini when you configure and run an AI command. Your use of an AI provider is governed by that provider's terms and policies. You are responsible for obtaining permission to send the included data and for any provider fees associated with your key.

AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your purpose. You must review output before relying on it, publishing it, or using it to make decisions that affect people, rights, safety, finances, or legal obligations.

Other third-party services

Flowstem can interact with websites, APIs, webhooks, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and other services you select. Flowstem does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, policies, or changes. Your use of each third-party service is subject to its own terms, permissions, quotas, and privacy practices.

Privacy and support

The Flowstem privacy policy explains how Flowstem handles account information, local workflow data, provider keys, Google integrations, and support information. If you send us a support message, screenshot, export, or diagnostic report, you give us permission to use that material only as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, troubleshoot the issue, and protect the service.

We may preserve or disclose account, support, or other information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority. Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, we will notify the affected user before making the disclosure.

Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, or other feedback about Flowstem, you grant Flowstem a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the product without restriction or compensation. Do not submit feedback that you do not have the right to share or that you expect us to treat as confidential.

Product changes and availability

Flowstem is under active development. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may release updates that alter product behavior or requirements. We aim to communicate material changes that adversely affect current users, but we do not guarantee that every feature or integration will always be available.

We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, prevent fraud or abuse, or address a material violation of these terms. When reasonably practicable, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to correct a remediable violation before terminating access. We may act immediately where the violation cannot be remedied or where delay could create legal, security, fraud, abuse, or service-disruption risks. You may stop using Flowstem at any time and may contact support to request account deletion.

When access ends, your right to use paid features ends as provided by the applicable subscription terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including ownership, user responsibility, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and claims arising from your use, will survive.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flowstem is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every website or purpose. Browser changes, website changes, third-party service changes, network failures, and workflow configuration can affect results.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Limitation of liability

Flowstem is not responsible for the acts or omissions of users or third parties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flowstem and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or goodwill arising from or related to Flowstem, your workflows, user conduct, or any third-party service. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited.

Except for liability arising from Flowstem's or its operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and to the extent permitted by law, the total liability of Flowstem and its operator for direct damages arising from the services will not exceed the subscription fees paid for Flowstem during the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Where applicable law does not permit this limit, liability will be limited only to the maximum extent the law permits.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Flowstem evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last updated date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before starting formal proceedings, you and Flowstem agree to make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute by contacting the other party. Courts in Japan will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

General terms

You may not assign or transfer these terms or your rights under them without prior written consent. Flowstem may transfer these terms as part of a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the product, subject to applicable law.

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, the privacy policy, and any terms presented at checkout form the entire agreement concerning your use of Flowstem and replace prior agreements on the same subject.

Flowstem is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including internet or hosting outages, browser or website changes, third-party service failures, natural disasters, government actions, or widespread infrastructure disruption.
